Part of my reasoning for choosing this concept was that I thought it resembled a similar style to pieces of art that I've found for Ubisoft. After University I would like to seek out employment at a Ubisoft Studio within the Environment Art department, I have been playing their games for many years and have always been blown away by the detailing and environmental storytelling within their game environments. I've learnt to really appreciate the spectacular environments that the artists have created; since starting Game Development, I know take the time to stop at certain places and observe the immense work that went into the creation.

Whilst looking into games like The Division, Assassins Creed Syndicate and Rainbow Six Siege, I've noticed the dense clutter found in the scenes. The surroundings are usually coated in scraps, cables, cloth etc; after seeing my chosen concept piece I saw similar aspects and the possibility of this portfolio piece being my gateway into the AAA industry. I'm looking forward to getting some true environmental storytelling in my scene this year, due to the Trello board I believe that my time management skills will improve allowing me to dedicate more time to this factor. This will be done by creating my own decals to show scratches on the floor where furniture has been dragged, coffee stains on the desk, finger prints on shiny surfaces.
